2013 AFRICAN MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS TO BE HELD IN MALAWI

The 2013 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) nomination night will be held in Malawi. This announcement was revealed in Lilongwe on the 24th of January 2013 by the CEO of AMAA, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe. The nomination weekend will run from March 14 to March 17.

The musical duo of P-Square will be in concert on March 15, as part of the AMAA nomination weekend.The nomination night, will take place on March 16. Nominees for the various award categories will be announced during the nomination night.
The creative industries in Malawi will have the opportunity to network with the rest of Africa over the nomination weekend. In a related development, the African Film Academy, will hold Film in a Box training in Malawi, from March 1 through March 14. Film in a Box will provide training for young Malawians interested in filmmaking.
The main award ceremony comes up in Lagos on the 22nd of April 2013
